<bio>Joseph Kozlowski, Ph.D., is a teacher and researcher at Edith Bowen Laboratory School. He is passionate about supporting early childhood development as well as pre-service teacher development. Providing students rich experiences (e.g., outdoor, technological, social, physical) is a fundamental component of his instruction style and he believes it supports deep future connections for learning. His research focus revolves around mathematics and computer science education. He is primarily interested in how students think about mathematics creatively, and how coding toys and interfaces support mathematical and computational thinking.</bio>
