Thesis and Dissertation Process

Please utilize the directions and links below to begin the process for your thesis/dissertation. Forms can be accessed via the graduate school website, or by using the links below. Please contact RaNae before submitting any of these forms.

Before Thesis/Dissertation Proposal

Following the second semester for master's students and third semester for PhD students:

Submit Supervisory Committee Approval form
Submit Program of Study

At Thesis/Dissertation Proposal

Within seven days of successful proposal:

Submit thesis/dissertation title page to RaNae via email to route for electronic signatures

After Thesis/Dissertation Proposal

Three months prior to defense:

For Thesis: Submit the Master's Thesis/Project Approval form
For Dissertations: Submit the Application for Candidacy form after successful proposal, IRB or IACUC approval (if necessary), and successful completion of comprehensive exams

Before Thesis/Dissertation Defense

Ten business days prior to defense:

Submit Appointment for Examination form

After Thesis/Dissertation Defense

Before submitting thesis/dissertation to department reviewer:

Submit Title Page
Submit Format and Style form
Submit Authorship and Copyright form

Submit thesis/dissertation to RaNae by email for submission to department and SGS review
