Gregory Davis Kinesiology and Health Science Outside Instructor greg.j.davis@usu.edu Greg is a graduate of the University of Utah with a MS in Parks, Recreation and Tourism. He is a licensed EMT, river guide, certified wilderness medicine Instructor with Desert Mountain Medicine, avalanche instructor with the American Institute of Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE) and Swiftwater rescue instructor for Swiftwater Safety Institute (SSI). He works full-time for USU Outdoor Programs where he oversees the student-led adventure trip program and outdoor certification courses that include Wilderness First Responder (PE 1544), Wilderness First Aid (PE 1543), AIARE Avalanche Rescue (PE 1549), AIARE Avalanche 1 (PE 1547), AIARE Avalanche 2 (PE 1548) and Swiftwater Rescue (PE 1507). He is also the Swiftwater and avalanche team lead for Cache County Search and Rescue. When he is not working, you can find Greg on the river or his mountain bike during the spring/summer/fall and wandering the backcountry in search of the fluffy white stuff during the winter months.
