<bio>Brian N. Phillips joined the Rehabilitation Counseling faculty at Utah State University in Fall of 2019. Prior to working at Utah State University, he was an associate professor in the Rehabilitation Psychology program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he worked for eight years. He received his PhD in Rehabilitation Counselor Education from Michigan State University in 2011 and is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. His research focuses on two primary strands, namely (a) understanding and predicting workplace social effectiveness and its outcomes and (b) measuring the influence of individual strengths on adjustment, well-being, and employment outcomes of people with disabilities. He has worked on multiple federally funded research projects and serves as an editorial board member for several journals. Prior to doctoral studies, Dr. Phillips worked in Utah for a non-profit rehabilitation counseling setting, and he continues to engage in community service efforts working with local agencies in Cache Valley and the surrounding areas.</bio>
