Graduate Student - Combined Clinical/Counseling Specialization

Biography
I'm a first-generation Latina doctoral student in the Combined Clinical/Counseling Psychology PhD program working with Dr. Melanie Domenech Rodriguez in the Culture and Mental Health Lab. I graduated from the University of Houston with a BS in Psychology and a minor in Biology in 2025. Prior to attending USU, I worked at UTHealth Houston as a Study Coordinator and Interventionist for the Texas Youth Depression and Suicide Research Network. My primary research interests surround the cultural adaptation of evidence-based treatments for Latino/Latine families. Broadly, my work aims to advance mental health equity for underserved communities and to build a stronger evidence base for culturally responsive practice.
