Biography

Anjanette Todd, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the M.Ed. School Counseling Program within the Department of Psychology at Utah State University, where she currently serves as Director of the School Counseling Program. She earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education from the University of South Florida and her M.Ed. in School Counseling from the University of Florida. Dr. Todd brings 13 years of experience as a school counselor at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, where she supported students’ academic, career, and social-emotional development. Before joining Utah State University in 2024, she served as an Assistant Professor of School Counseling at the University of Texas at El Paso. Drawing upon her extensive experience as a practitioner, educator, and program leader, Dr. Todd is committed to preparing compassionate, reflective, and highly skilled school counselors who can effectively serve diverse students, families, schools, and communities. Her research interests include school counselor well-being and self-care, with a particular focus on the practices of self-compassion and mindfulness. Dr. Todd is a member of the American School Counselor Association, the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, the Rocky Mountain Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, and the Southern Association for Counselor Education and Supervision.
