What is Valued Living Lite?
- Valued Living Lite (VLL) is a single session digital mental health intervention based on acceptance and commitment therapy for autistic adults that takes less than 40 minutes to complete.
- VLL was co-designed with the autism community to meet the mental health needs of autistic adults.
- VLL helps you navigate difficult emotions while more fully connecting to what is important to you to help improve quality of life over time.
How do you know Valued Living Lite is useful for autistic adults?
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, an approach to mental health skills that can improve your overall well-being, has over 1,000 randomized controlled trials showing its positive effects for diverse groups of people (State of the ACT Evidence).
- ACT has growing evidence that it is useful to support individuals with developmental disabilities, including autistic adults, to improve similar outcomes (Byrne & O-Mahoney, 2020).
- Research conducted by our team examined Valued Living Lite in an open trial of 79 autistic adults. Outcomes suggested improvements in satisfaction with life and decreases in depression and anxiety symptoms (Aller et al., 2025).
Transparency in Costs
- Valued Living Lite costs $5 to access the program for 6-month period. You can take it as soon or as late in that six months and access the program repeatedly in this time.
- Any funds made above and beyond program management will be used to assist research and training projects facilitated by the Center for Mental Health Promotion and The Utah State University ACT Research Group.

Who created Valued Living Lite an ACT Guide program?
- We’re a group of researchers at Utah State University who spend our time helping others with their mental health. We created Valued Living Lite so that evidence-based, co-created mental health resources are more widely available to autistic adults.
