Three Divisions, One Department
To meet the land grant mission of Utah State University, the Emma Eccles Jones College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences and the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences plans to implement the following 5-year strategic plan to address: national reputation, growth, and program quality. The plan addresses undergraduate education and the three graduate divisions of speech-language pathology, audiology, and deaf education.
Undergraduate Education
- Goal: Maintain or increase enrollment of undergraduate students majoring in Speech and Hearing Sciences.
Outcome measure: Number of students enrolled in campus and online 1st and 2nd bachelor's degrees. - Goal: Initiate and grow a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Certificate credential program to improve undergraduate student preparation and access to this career option.
Outcome measure: Number of students in the SLPA Certificate program starting Fall 2023.
